WHALE WATCHING & WILDLIFE TOURS
Experience the adventure of a whale watching tour! There are several companies to choose from on the island, all with several years experience. There are also puffin tours which will take you out to Machias Island to see these colourful little sea birds! You may also see porpoises, seals and other wildlife!
HIKING & CAMPING
Grand Manan offers several beautiful, maintained hiking trails, from cliffside to beach to forest, for every experience level. There are also a few lovely campgrounds, or if you prefer, backcountry camping. Experience the wilderness of this island in peace and nature.
LIGHTHOUSES
Grand Manan is famous for its lighthouses, big and small. Swallowtail Lighthouse, which you can spot when first arriving on the ferry, is a Canadian National Heritage Building and an absolute must-see when visiting!

The island offers several types of beaches, from the sandy beaches of Seal Cove, Anchorage and Deep Cove, to rockier beaches of Stanley's Beach, Whale Cove and Dark Habour, there is something for every kind of beach-comber and sun-wroshipper out there!

For the sporty types, try your hand at sea kayaking or bing your bike over and ride up and down the island! Kayak and bike rentals available in North Head.
