The first step is reaching to the Ferry Wharf which is in Blacks Harbour by car.

It is easy to find a way to reach Saint John or Fredericton by car or airplane so we will help you for the rest of the way by below maps. In the bottom of the page there is a map for help people who want to reach by from Bangor (U.S)

If you do not have a car you can use public transportation by following below instruction.

The best way to get to Grand Manan by public transportation is to go to Saint John then choose one of the following :

1- Take a taxi for whole the way from Saint John to ferry station or from Pennfield Flats to the ferry terminal in Blacks Harbour

2- By bus from Saint John to Pennfield and take a taxi from Pennfield to the ferry station in blacks harbour

Saint John to Pennfield

Leaves Saint John each day at 2:20 PM

Arrives in Pennfield at 2:55 PM

To be picked up in Pennfield you must call before 5:00 PM on previous day. For Saturday and Sunday you must call before 5:00 PM on Friday.

Passengers and vehicle traffic traveling from Blacks Harbour to Grand Manan Island will be handled on a first-come first-served basis and will not be charged a fare.

Passengers and vehicle traffic traveling from Grand Manan Island to Blacks Harbour will be handled through the Grand Manan Terminal and must purchase the appropriate round trip ticket at the Ticket Office, prior to embarkation.

**You cannot book the ferry for coming to the Grand Manan. Hence, going to the ferry one hour early is a good idea for coming to the Grand Manan. You can only book the ferry a day before you want to leave Grand Manan.

**Schedules and rates are subject to change without notice.  Crossing time is approximately 1.5 hours.

**There are no Scheduled trips on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.
