This cabin has lots of windows and a large deck
with a great view of
the Duck,
Geese, Hawk and Eagle
activity in the salt marsh, as
well as a view of Swallowtail Lighthouse,
and the
Bay. It is a basic
one
room cabin equipped with a full kitchen,
table
and chairs, a double
bed and a futon on main floor and a double bed in a
small loft. There
is a shower and toilet in a separate room.
This was my first stay in the Captains Quarters after having enjoyed the Barn. The view was awesome! I loved the deck and the loft.
CQ is quiet and cozy. We enjoyed sitting in the shade on the deck watching the humming birds flitter around. Thank God for James.
James, you have captured everything this world is missing. Peace, tranquility, harmony. Spectacular view – WOW
Another great stay at the Marsh. We loved “The Captains Quarters” the view is spectacular. Its clean and bright. It was raining when we arrived but the came out for us. We really needed a relaxing weekend and we got just that!
The Captains Quarters is homey and it’s all the little things you have done that give it such charm –the branch/twig hooks, hand crafted lounge chairs, the ladder into the loft… all the wooden objects that you have crafted.
We are bird watchers and travel all over the US and Canada staying in cottages and this is the best equipped cabin we have ever stayed in.
As a birder, I couldn't have wished for a more perfect place for watching birds - sitting at the table, drinking coffee and watching the birds go by! Im listing all the birds I saw both from the patio and the window in the cottage.
