This cabin has a fantastic view of the marsh. Situated in a cluster of trees overlooking the salt marsh, Swallowtail Lighthouse, Long Island, and the Bay, it is very private, yet has windows facing in three directions. The view, particularly at sunrise, from either inside the cabin or out on the deck, is breathtaking. The small loft, which is accessed via a ladder and w here the double bed is situated, has several large windows, giving nearly a 360-degree view. The main floor is equipped with a fridge, sink, and propane stove/oven. There is also a double futon and small wood stove in the living area. The hot water comes from a staff built, environmentally-friendly solar water preheater which supplies the sink and outdoor shower. The cabin has a composting toilet room on the main floor. Guests may also use the flush toilets and indoor shower located by the barn along with the facilities in the cabin. Most comfortably equipped for 2 people, an additional 1 or 2 people can easily be accommodated on the double futon.
$90.00 per night | $600.00 per week.

We spent our honeymoon here in this great little cabin, and are so glad we did. We loved the Canada geese and goslings, nesting swallows, deer running by in the morning, fireflies at night, the peace and privacy. This was our first visit to Grand Manan, and we’ll be back!

After my dad died two weeks ago after such a long illness, I knew I needed a quiet place to let the healing begin. Thank you for providing this remarkably special place. I will never forget my time here.
My husband and I needed a ‘get-a-way’ and the Bird House placed us right where we needed to be. We experienced this island and whitehead, biked, kayaked, read, beachcombed, ate fabulous meals, saw sunrises and sunsets unmatched anywhere else.
Of all the peaceful places we’ve been this one will always have a special place in our hearts.
Our time at the birdhouse was wonderful. The pair of Bald Eagles drying themselves after yesterdays storm was great. Hopefully we will be back in the fall for whale-watching and that great hot chocolate! If not we will be back next June for the Puffins!

The Birdhouse is like nothing else. It was like sleeping in a cloud over a vast world, being an unsuspected audience to this endless beauty outside our window. We will be back here again.
